The gentlemen of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin will be performing another movement from my 'work in progress' cantata, The Falling Tear. This movement sets a more familiar text, with an homage to Gibbons Song 46 – which is probably the setting most people know – in the cascading setting of the final verse:
In your deep floods,
Drown all my faults and fears,
Nor let his eye see sin,
But through my tears.
